Some “tidbits”:

• Born and raised in southern California

• Grew up in a very weird and strict religious household

• Grew up poor, working-class

• I had never celebrated a birthday, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc before the age of 21

• The smell of fresh asphalt takes me back to my childhood (my dad worked construction)

• Started playing guitar at age 11

• I am left-handed but taught myself to play right-handed

• I also play bass

• Lifelong Dodgers fan, but I suck at playing baseball; am indifferent toward football, but am a decent football player

• I enjoy irony

• Been in several bands and the last one broke up in 2011; it was around then that I decided to pursue photography

• Used to unload 53’ trailers at UPS at 3:00 AM

• Was a Teamster then

• Suffered multiple injuries on the job (my back is still fucked up) but it was getting my hand punctured by a syringe (and I cannot stress this enough: it was from a box of new and unused medical supplies where the syringe had gotten dislodged and had pierced through its packaging during transit) and bleeding out all over people’s Amazon and Pottery Barn boxes that I decided that perhaps this gig wasn’t for me

• My dad wasn’t thrilled that I quit

• I’ve lived in Paris, France; Zagreb, Croatia; Albuquerque, NM; Houston, TX; Portland, OR; and all over southern California: Altadena, Inglewood, east Hollywood, Pasadena, Santa Ana, Glendale

• Absolutely no AI/LLMs were used in any of the photography, video, or text in this portfolio or in the building and designing of this website
